Fiber Optic Operations - Install, terminate, splice, and test single-mode fiber optic cables. Execute FTTH deployments including drop cables, ONT installation, and customer handover. Perform fiber fault diagnosis using OTDR and power meters and carry out restoration. Maintain ODFs, joint closures, patch panels, and fiber route documentation.
Networking Operations - Install and configure routers, switches, access points, and ONTs. Implement LAN and WAN setups including VLANs, IP addressing, and basic routing. Perform network testing, validation, and fault isolation. Support enterprise and campus network deployments under engineering supervision.
Wireless Radio Operations (PTP & PTMP) - Install, align, and configure wireless radio links for PTP and PTMP deployments. Conduct site surveys and line-of-sight (LOS) assessments. Perform frequency planning, channel selection, power tuning, and link optimization. Monitor and optimize link performance (RSSI, SNR, throughput, latency). Troubleshoot interference, misalignment, and hardware faults.
Field Operations & Maintenance - Respond to outages, degradation, and service requests within SLA timelines. Perform preventive maintenance on fiber and wireless infrastructure. Support emergency restoration and after-hours maintenance when required. Provide technical support to junior technicians during field work.
Health, Safety & Compliance - Comply with all safety procedures for tower, pole, rooftop, and outdoor work. Ensure proper use of PPE, tools, and climbing equipment. Ensure installations meet Speedlink quality and regulatory standards.
Documentation & Reporting - Prepare installation, splicing, and wireless link reports. Maintain accurate network diagrams, site records, and asset inventory. Provide clear fault reports and technical feedback to engineering teams.
